If
so, then tell us the road, time and date, and submit your entry. We'll blank
out their plate, but they'll know who they are when they log on. And so will
their
friends. And their boss. And everyone else will laugh at them too.
 OK,
the first thing to get clear is that photography in cars can be dangerous. If
you are gazing through a lens minding your f-stop (photography term, keep with
it) and a truck wanders into your lane, you will probably end up eating Armco.
Not good.
So,
we recommend that ONLY PASSENGERS take photographs
of middle lane morons. You should also be careful NOT
TO DISTRACT other road users. Flash photography, especially at night,
should be avoided - so turn off the flash if it is automatic. Leaning out of the
window giving them the coffee bean shake could also divert their attention from
the road.
Technically,
in car photography is best with a fast shutter speed to prevent camera wobble
and in-car vibrations blurring the shot, which can be difficult if the flash
is turned off. So a good, bright day is required. Auto focus cameras
may also have
problems focussing through glass, so if this is the case, manually set your camera
to an 'infinity' focus. It should be fine for taking shots of other vehicles
on
the road.
Finally,
always say 'Smile, you're on Middle Lane Morons'. They may not hear you,
but you'll certainly feel better taking the first step towards naming and shaming
them.
